Photography
Still images made with intention, from Lisbon and beyond. Portraits, landscapes, and moments where light does the talking.
After college, a year in Gdansk, Poland, camera always in hand, chasing the contrasts of a life far from home: independence against loneliness, endless summer light against snowbound winters, and a history still scarred by war. Amber collects 27 black and white images, mostly square, made in search of balance and serenity.

About
I am a self-taught photographer (b. 1993) based in Lisbon, Portugal. My photography is a way to engage with the world, searching for the peculiar in everyday scenes.
I work with long-term projects instead of single pictures, sequencing the images to create a visual narrative.
My work is made to be enjoyed in the physical world. I prefer to use black & white film, processed in my own darkroom. This end-to-end approach gives me total creative control and freedom to achieve what I had in mind when I saw the scene.
Besides my individual work, I am also a member of 1/4escuro, an analog photography collective based in Lisbon.
